5 high protein + low carb breakfast ideas!

one of the things that has made the biggest change in our diets has been have a protein-packed breakfast. it sets the tone for the rest of the day and as we all know, protein keeps us fuller longer!

so, here are 5 breakfast ideas with 25g of protein or more and less than 10g of net carbs !

  1. spinach and mushroom frittata: beat together six eggs, a handful of spinach, and some sliced mushrooms. pour into a non-stick skillet and cook until set.

  2. smoked salmon and cream cheese rolls: spread a tablespoon of cream cheese on a slice of smoked salmon and roll up. we suggest serving with a side of sliced cucumber and cherry tomatoes.

  3. greek yogurt and mixed nuts: top a serving of Greek yogurt with a handful of mixed nuts.

  4. baked egg in an avocado: cut an avocado in half and remove the pit. scoop out some of the flesh to create a larger hole, crack an egg into each half, and bake in the oven until set.

  5. scrambled eggs with bacon and spinach: cook two slices of bacon until crisp, then crumble and set aside. in the same pan, sauté a handful of spinach until wilted, then add two beaten eggs and scramble until cooked through. top with the crumbled bacon.
