HOMEMADE PESTO

versatile, made with pantry staples, and delicious! your pizza, pasta, sandwich, salad, or snacks for dipping will thank you.

ESTIMATED PREP TIME

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

2 cups fresh basil leaves

2 tbsp pine nuts (pine nuts are the typical ingredient for pesto, but they can be pretty pricey so we typically sub for other nuts. We recommend walnuts or almonds or a mix!)

1 clove of garlic; peeled

2 tbsp lemon juice

3 tbsp nutritional yeast

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 

3 tbsp water 

WHAT TO DO:

blend ingredients in food processors or blender until desired consistency. the taste test you’ll never want to end: proportions can be altered to taste.

Serve with any favorite snack & enjoy!
