baked buffalo cauliflower

INGREDIENTS

1 head of cauliflower 

1 cup milk (plant-based or regular)

¾ cup flour (can easily substitute for gluten-free flour) 

we prefer Bob’s Red Mill 1-to-1 gluten free flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika 

½ tsp salt

pepper to taste


TRADITIONAL BUFFALO WING SAUCE

¼  cup of Frank’s Red Hot hot sauce 

1 tbsp agave 

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 

INSTRUCTIONS

  • preheat oven to 450º F and prepare baking sheet with parchment paper

  • mix together flour, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika salt, and pepper in a bowl until creamy and smooth

  • break cauliflower head into pieces 

  • add cauliflower to the bowl of batter and mix until all cauliflower pieces are fully coated with the batter

  • spread evenly on baking sheet and bake for 10 min; pull out of oven and flip cauliflower over; bake for 10 more minutes (20 min total)

  • in a smaller bowl, combine hot sauce, agave, and olive oil 

  • after cauliflower has baked for 20 min, pull out and brush with sauce (if sensitive to spice, add less) and bake for 15 more minutes
