mmmm I love me a good morning matcha! but living is San Francisco means I had to learn to make my own at home because I was not about to spend $7+ every day on a drink I chug down in 7 minutes. so I took matters into my own hands and made a delectable iced matcha at-home and added some of my own benefits to it. hope you enjoy! we recommend using a
INGREDIENTS
ceremonial-grade matcha powder
~1/4 c. warm water
honey : to your liking! however sweet you want it
coconut milk
ice
DIRECTIONS
start by heating up your water—we use a gooseneck kettle. then, grab a small, deep bowl that will allow you to properly whisk your matcha together. we suggest using a matcha whisk, but if you don’t have one, an electric whisk works just fine too. add in your matcha (whatever amount is recommended on your package), your He Shou Wu, collagen and top with warm water and honey if you would like to sweeten it all (I typically add ~2 tsp) then whisk away until it’s all mixed together. get out the cup you’d like to drink from and add in your ice and about 1 cup of your desired milk —we used coconut! top your iced coconut milk with your matcha mixture, stir together and enjoy! an easy, delicious, money-saving drink at-home!
